The Mad Irish woman

The mad Irish woman

screams at the door

She can’t wait to listen

She only screams more.

Her screaming will not bring back the friends

Which she pushes away with her anger.

I wonder what is it that she is teaching me.

Does she know how poor I am without coin

To do laundry?

I have no washboard.

She has no patience.

Why does she scream at me?

I have endeavoured to be kind and loving.

Is that why she screams?

Does she perceive that as a weakness?

Is the weakness mine or hers?

Well then, such as you say! Truly there is anger in your heart. Well deserved. The weakness is only in the the words, not the voice. What does she say again? Have you listened to her and …..yourself? I enjoyed your moment…your emotion…your poetic expression….Thank you for sharing….
